Tobias Urban, born in 1985 in West Germany, is a photographer with a versatile way of seeing the world.

His photographic journey began in portrait photography, but today he is mostly drawn to the streets, capturing everyday scenes and the quiet beauty of fleeting moments. His work is defined by strong leading lines, thoughtful color compositions, and a candid, almost instinctive visual language.

Tobias does not pursue technical perfection. Instead, he embraces photography as a raw and honest process, where imperfections add depth and character to an image.

For this reason, he primarily shoots on film. Analog photography gives his work a sense of authenticity that cannot be manufactured, only experienced.

He is also the owner of a filmlab (urbanfilmlab), a role that deepens his connection to the craft and gives him a profound understanding of the photographic process from exposure to the final image.
